Overview

Remaker AI is an image-led creative platform with a photo editor that changes selected parts of a picture or follows a text prompt. It also handles upscaling, background removal, object erasing, effects, portraits, and tattoo generation. On the video side, it offers generation tools and templates for short-form clips.

Video face swapping supports multiple faces and videos up to 30 minutes. That ceiling gives it room for longer source material than short-clip workflows require, though the service’s broader video offering also includes short-form templates. New users receive free credits for generating and exporting images and videos without a watermark.

Key features

Image editing and creation

The editor’s prompt-based changes sit alongside focused tools such as background removal and object erasing. That combination is useful for creators who need both targeted cleanup and more open-ended edits, while portrait and tattoo generation add creative options beyond standard retouching. Upscaling and photo effects round out the image toolkit.

Video, face swaps, and API

AI video generation and short-form templates extend the platform beyond still images. The face-swap support for multiple people and videos up to 30 minutes may suit projects involving group shots or longer clips. API documentation covers endpoints for face swaps, upscaling, video generation, background removal, and other tools, making Remaker relevant to teams integrating visual functions into their own workflows.

Pricing

Free access costs 0.00 USD per free. New users receive free credits, and many basic features are free; the sign-up credits can generate and export images and videos without watermarks. This is a useful way to start, but a free allowance is not the same as a predictable ongoing quota.

Paid credit packages are one-time purchases, with credits that do not expire. The entry package is 200 credits for 5.99 USD per once; the largest listed package is 20,000 credits for 299.00 USD per once. Smaller outlays make occasional use easier to justify, while the larger package suits heavier use but requires substantially more upfront spending. There is no recurring subscription billing, so buyers avoid automatic renewals, though credit consumption still determines how far a purchase goes.

Refund eligibility is limited to a first purchase, a maximum of 50 credits used, and a request within three days of purchase. Email support handles general inquiries and refund requests, with responses potentially taking up to 48 hours. Stripe processes payments, and Remaker says it does not store card information. Its privacy policy describes firewall-protected servers in secure data facilities while acknowledging that no security system is perfect.

Platforms

Remaker is accessed through its web platform and currently has no official app. Although Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows appear among its platform categories, readers looking for a dedicated mobile or desktop app should not treat those categories as confirmation that one is available.

Who it's for

Remaker makes the most sense for individual creators who want several image-editing tools plus video generation and face swaps in one service, particularly if they prefer paying once for credits rather than maintaining a subscription. Its API and stated focus on enterprise teams may also suit organizations building these capabilities into a product or process. It is a weaker choice for work requiring commercial-use rights, or for people who specifically want an official app.

Pros and cons

Pros: A varied image toolkit combines prompt editing, upscaling, background removal, object erasing, effects, portraits, and tattoo generation.
Pros: One-time credit purchases do not expire, avoiding subscription renewal and time pressure to use remaining credits.
Pros: Free sign-up credits allow watermark-free image and video exports.
Cons: Commercial use is not supported, ruling it out for some professional publishing and client work.
Cons: There is no official app, despite the service’s broad platform categories.
Cons: Refunds are tightly constrained by first-purchase status, credit use, and a three-day request window.

Alternatives

For face-swap workflows, SwapFace is worth considering if a 60-second video limit is sufficient and a one-time 9.99 USD purchase for 1,050 credits fits better than Remaker’s credit packages. Choose AI Ease if you want a service centered on image-related features with a yearly membership option, rather than Remaker’s one-time credits. YouInMeme may suit occasional meme creation better, with two free creations per day and a 0.99 USD one-time Day Boost for three more creations for the current day.

Deep-Live-Cam is another option to compare. Picsi.Ai offers a free tier with 10 daily credits for single-face image swaps, but watermarks creations and locks GIF and video. Facy AI has a free option with unlimited image processing at medium quality and slower processing times. FakeMe is an alternative with a 3.99 USD monthly subscription. Vidwud AI Face Swap is another web-based option.

Verdict

Choose Remaker AI if you want a broad image toolkit alongside video generation and face swapping, and value credits that never expire over a recurring plan. Its strongest case is the range of creative work covered by one credit-based service; look elsewhere if commercial-use support or an official app is essential.
