Overview

Kickresume is a resume and cover-letter builder with AI writing, ATS checking, and career-planning tools. It suits job seekers who want those tasks in one service, especially applicants willing to pay for a wider template choice and career tools. Its free plan is unusually useful for document output, but just four basic templates in each category make it a limited design choice.

Key features

Writing and document building

The AI Writer can draft a resume from a job title and the job ad being answered, giving applicants a job-specific starting point rather than a blank page. Kickresume also offers resume and matching cover-letter templates. Free users get four of each; Premium raises that to more than 40 of each, plus seven personal website templates. The free selection can be enough for a straightforward application, but applicants who want more visual options will need Premium.

ATS and career tools

The ATS Resume Checker helps optimize a resume for applicant tracking systems and compares it with successful resumes in Kickresume’s database. Career Map scans a resume and recommends career paths based on the applicant’s skills and experience. Together these tools extend the service beyond formatting, though their practical value depends on whether an applicant wants feedback and career suggestions alongside document creation.

Imports, downloads, and mobile

Premium includes LinkedIn and PDF import. Free includes unlimited downloads, with PDF, Word text export, email, Dropbox, and Google Drive options. The iOS and Android apps sync documents with desktop through the cloud, so the service can suit applicants who move between devices. Kickresume says it does not share user data with third parties without permission; it is based in the EU, hosts data in the European Union, and says its infrastructure receives regular penetration testing from an unnamed IT security company.

Pricing

Kickresume is freemium, with no free trial. The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes four basic resume templates, four matching cover-letter templates, one basic website template, 20,000 pre-written phrases, more than 1,500 resume examples, and unlimited downloads. It is a practical starting point for applicants who can work within the small template selection.

Premium — Monthly: 24.00 USD per month, billed monthly. Includes more than 40 resume and cover-letter templates and seven website templates.
Premium — Quarterly: 18.00 USD per month, billed as Pay $54 every 3 months. Includes the same template selection.
Premium — Yearly: 8.00 USD per month, billed as Pay $96 every 12 months. Includes the same template selection.

The listed Premium plans in euros also include AI Writer, ATS Resume Checker, Career Map, LinkedIn and PDF import, iOS and Android, seven personal website templates, and priority email and chat support. Yearly costs 8.00 EUR per year, billed as Pay €96 every 12 months; Quarterly costs 18.00 EUR per month, billed as Pay €54 every 3 months; Monthly costs 24.00 EUR per month. The longer terms lower the monthly rate but require a larger upfront payment. Premium is the better fit for applicants who want the expanded tools and templates; the free plan keeps unlimited downloads but gives up that breadth.

Grammar Correction is a separate 30.00 USD per once, billed $30 per resume. Professional human proofreaders correct typos, grammar, and word order, with delivery in two work days or less. Students and teachers can get Premium free after verifying status with ISIC, ITIC, or UNiDAYS.

Platforms

Kickresume is available on web, Android, and iOS. The mobile resume builder syncs documents with desktop through the cloud; the listed Premium plans include iOS and Android access.

Who it's for

Kickresume is a strong fit for job seekers who want to draft a tailored resume, build a matching cover letter, and get ATS or career-path feedback in one place. Its free tier suits people prioritizing document downloads over template variety. Applicants who need more templates, imports, and the full set of planning tools should compare Premium’s term commitments before upgrading.

Pros and cons

Pro: Unlimited free downloads and multiple export routes make the free plan useful beyond a brief trial.
Pro: AI drafting, ATS checking, and career recommendations cover more than document layout alone.
Pro: Premium adds LinkedIn and PDF import, mobile access, and priority email and chat support.
Con: Free users get only four resume and four cover-letter templates, versus more than 40 of each on Premium.
Con: The lowest monthly rate requires paying $96 every 12 months; the monthly plan costs more per month.

Verdict
