Overview

Documents can enter by email, REST API, or drag-and-drop in the web app. Parseur offers Vision AI, Text AI, and template parsing, with an option to choose an extraction engine for each document. That flexibility fits workflows where incoming files differ, though the platform is not a substitute for every accounts-payable control: it supports line-item extraction and duplicate detection, but not PO matching or approval routing.

After extraction, Parseur can format and validate fields, with optional Python post-processing for custom logic. It connects through Zapier, Make, Power Automate, n8n, and webhooks, and exports to Google Sheets, Excel, CSV, and JSON. That range makes it practical to send extracted data into existing processes rather than keep it inside a standalone tool.

Key features

OCR and extraction: OCR supports more than 200 languages and includes preprocessing for scans. Multiple extraction engines and per-document selection offer useful flexibility for mixed document types.
Normalization: Formatting and validation help make extracted fields more consistent. Python post-processing extends that option for teams with custom logic, but it is not included on the free tier.
Privacy and retention: Parseur says data is EU-hosted, is not used to train AI models serving other customers, and mailbox retention can be set as low as one day. These controls may suit teams with specific data-handling requirements.
Security: Parseur says it completed an independent SOC 2 Type II examination in September 2026 and conducts annual third-party penetration testing.
Support: All tiers include 24/7 AI and self-serve support. Paid tiers add chat and email; Scale and Enterprise add priority support.

Pricing

Parseur is freemium, with a free plan and a stated paid starting point of $49/mo. The listed tier details give no fixed prices for paid plans, so compare their capacity and terms with a quote before committing. A free trial is available.

Plan	Capacity and terms	Best fit
Free	0.00 GBP per free; up to 20 pages/month, one user, 90-day document retention, unlimited mailboxes and extracted fields. Advanced post-processing is excluded.	Evaluation or very light use. The 20-page cap and single seat make it a narrow fit for ongoing team workflows.
Base	Custom pricing; billed monthly or annually. Up to 3,000 pages/month, one user, one-year retention.	Higher-volume individual use. The single-user limit remains restrictive for teams.
Scale	Custom pricing; billed monthly or annually. Up to 1 million pages/month, up to 100 users, unlimited retention.	Large workflows needing multiple seats and long retention.
Enterprise	Custom plan; request a quote. Up to 10 million pages/month, unlimited users, unlimited retention.	Very high-volume use or organizations needing unrestricted seats and retention.

The free plan is useful for a small evaluation, but its page allowance, one-user limit, and 90-day retention are substantial constraints. Base increases page volume and retention but still allows only one user. Scale and Enterprise lift the user and retention limits, at a much larger capacity ceiling; their custom pricing means teams should weigh that headroom against expected volume before choosing a tier.

Platforms

Parseur is available on the web and through an API. Its email intake and export integrations add routes into business workflows, but the listed platforms do not include native desktop or mobile apps.

Who it's for

Parseur is a strong candidate for teams handling recurring PDFs, emails, scans, or other documents in accounts payable, logistics, human resources, and real estate leads. It is especially relevant when multilingual OCR, configurable retention, or several ways to move extracted data matter. It is less suitable when approval routing or PO matching is essential, or when a team needs multiple users on the Base tier.

Pros and cons

Pros: More than 200 OCR languages and preprocessing support broaden its usefulness for scanned, multilingual documents.
Pros: Email, API, and web-app intake, plus multiple automation integrations and export formats, give teams several ways to connect extraction to downstream tools.
Pros: Mailbox retention can be configured down to one day, and the maker says customer data is not used to train AI models serving other customers.
Cons: Free use is capped at 20 pages/month and one user, with only 90-day retention and no advanced post-processing.
Cons: Base remains limited to one user, while paid tier prices are custom, making costs harder to compare from the outset.
Cons: It lacks PO matching and approval routing, so it may not cover a complete invoice-control workflow.

Alternatives

For invoice-focused options, compare Invoice Processing Software and Invoice OCR Software; for broader document workflows, see AI Document Processing Software and Intelligent Document Processing Software. Email-heavy workflows may benefit from the Email Parsing Software category, while hiring teams can browse Resume Parsing Software.

Veryfi Invoices OCR API is worth comparing when mobile apps matter or a team can meet its $500/mo minimum commitment for 500.00 USD per month.
Nanonets Invoice OCR starts with $50 in credits on its free plan, then charges $100/month for 100 credits; consider it when that credit-based entry suits the workflow.
DocuClipper Invoice Approval may suit teams seeking invoice approval tooling and unlimited users on its Starter plan, which costs 20.00 USD per month billed annually for 60 pages/month.
Tungsten Power PDF is a Windows desktop PDF editor with creation, editing, and conversion tools, rather than a document extraction service.
ABBYY FlexiCapture for Invoices is an invoice-focused alternative available through a demo and contact for pricing.
Dext Prepare may fit a small business workflow needing 250 documents/month and five users for 290.00 GBP per year billed annually, excluding VAT.
Webdocs for AP is another accounts-payable option with quote-based pricing.
Circulus offers an AP automation plan at 481.00 USD per month.

Verdict

Choose Parseur if your team needs adaptable document extraction, multilingual OCR, and practical ways to feed data into business tools. Its strongest case is flexible intake and extraction paired with configurable retention; look elsewhere if approval routing or PO matching is a requirement, or if you need a clear paid price and multiple users on the entry paid tier.
