Overview

EatPe is restaurant software for businesses that want billing, QR ordering and kitchen operations in one system. It suits Indian food businesses that need local payment and delivery workflows; its main trade-off is a menu of separate plans with distinct limits and capabilities.

Customers can scan a QR code, browse a visual menu and send an order to the restaurant’s WhatsApp number without installing an app. EatPe Pro brings POS billing, QR orders, kitchen display and customer CRM into one dashboard.

Key features

QR menus and ordering

QR plans range from capped scan allowances to unlimited scans, with higher tiers adding live menu updates, offers, coupons, custom branding and customer analytics. WhatsApp ordering is available on several plans. This approach keeps ordering app-free for customers, but restaurants should match the plan’s scan allowance and features to their traffic and service model.

Billing, kitchen and delivery

POS plans include billing and thermal printing, with higher tiers adding unlimited invoices, inventory, CRM, staff management, smart KOT and table management. QR Dine-In adds a waiter app and KDS, while Cloud Kitchen combines multi-brand KDS with aggregator order sync, raw-material inventory, a delivery dispatcher and advanced analytics. EatPe advertises two-way Swiggy and Zomato synchronization; Dunzo is also an optional aggregator integration.

EatPe says its local-first architecture can continue billing during internet outages, a useful safeguard for busy service. Its online-store product adds custom domains, free SSL, campaigns by WhatsApp and SMS, coupons, loyalty points, and Dunzo and Shadowfax delivery integrations.

Devices, security and support

EatPe says it runs on Android phones, iPads and tablets, Windows and Mac computers, and supports Bluetooth thermal printers, USB POS printers and smart-TV kitchen screens. It states that data in transit uses TLS 1.3, stored data uses AES-256, access is role-based and primary data is hosted in India. Card and UPI data is handled by PCI-DSS-compliant gateway partners such as Razorpay rather than stored on EatPe servers.

Merchants can access, correct and export transaction history, and request deletion after account closure. Indian tax rules require certain financial records to be kept for up to eight years. The pricing page advertises 24/7 priority WhatsApp and Hindi call support.

Pricing

EatPe uses a freemium model, with a free plan and a 14-day trial. Published paid plans include:

POS Lite — ₹99/month: 500 invoices per month, POS billing, thermal-print readiness and daily sales reports. A low-cost entry point, but the invoice cap may not suit a busier outlet.
QR Basic — ₹99/month: Up to 3,000 scans per month, digital QR menu, WhatsApp ordering and basic analytics. Best for modest QR traffic; the scan allowance is the constraint.
Menu Bill — ₹199/month: Unlimited invoices, POS billing, thermal printing, smart KOT and Customer Khata. It removes the invoice ceiling and adds kitchen and account tracking, but does not include the broader inventory and staff tools of Starter POS.
QR Plus — ₹199/month: Up to 10,000 scans per month, WhatsApp ordering, live menu updates and basic analytics. It gives growing QR use more headroom than QR Basic, though scans remain capped.
Starter POS — ₹299/month: Unlimited invoices, inventory, customer CRM, staff management and daily sales reports. A stronger fit for operators who need back-office tools as well as billing.
QR Max — ₹299/month: Unlimited scans, offers and coupons, custom branding, customer analytics and thermal bill printing. It suits high QR volume, but does not list table management or waiter and KDS tools.
QR Standee & Menu Suite — ₹365/year: Unlimited scans and views, multi-page HD menu/PDF hosting, custom branding and HD standee download. The offer says 3 Months (90 Days) 100% Free Access Trial, then ₹365/year (₹1/day billed annually); that trial differs from the general 14-day trial, so check the applicable terms.
QR Print Max — ₹399/month: Everything in QR Max, plus ePOS billing, unlimited invoices and table management. It bridges QR ordering and billing, but does not list the waiter app and KDS included with QR Dine-In.
QR Dine-In — ₹499/month: Unlimited QR scans, WhatsApp ordering, table management, waiter app and KDS, plus customer CRM. A fit for table service that needs linked floor and kitchen workflows.
Cloud Kitchen — ₹499/month: Multi-brand KDS, aggregator order sync, raw-material inventory, delivery dispatcher and advanced analytics. Its focus is delivery operations rather than the table-service tools in QR Dine-In.

The pricing note says paid plans start at ₹365/yr, while the plan menu also includes monthly plans starting at ₹99/month. Custom pricing is appropriate where a required package is not covered by these tiers.

Platforms

EatPe supports Android, iOS, macOS, web and Windows. Its hardware support spans tablets, computers, thermal printers and smart-TV kitchen screens, giving restaurants options across front-counter and kitchen setups.

Who it's for

EatPe is designed for restaurants, cafes, cloud kitchens, bakeries, fine-dining venues, other food businesses and retail shops in India. Support for more than eight Indian languages and workflows built around GST, UPI and Indian delivery services make it particularly relevant to local operators. It is less compelling for a business seeking one simple plan: POS, QR ordering, table service and delivery tools are spread across different tiers.

Pros and cons

Pro: QR customers can order through WhatsApp without an app, reducing the need for a separate customer download.
Pro: The range spans entry-level billing and QR plans through table-service and cloud-kitchen operations.
Pro: Local-first billing is intended to keep checkout running when connectivity drops.
Pro: India-focused language, payment and delivery support aligns the product with local restaurant workflows.
Con: Scan and invoice caps on entry plans can constrain growing outlets, making tier selection important.
Con: The strongest capabilities are split among plans; QR Dine-In and Cloud Kitchen address different operating models rather than forming one clearly unified top tier.

Alternatives

Browse Digital Menu Software for more options in the category. Flipdish is worth comparing if a paid, per-site website and online-ordering package fits better; its Website plan is $149.00 USD per month billed monthly and includes a branded website, online ordering and menu management. GustoQR may suit a business prioritizing a free plan with 500 customers per year and team access, without full POS. MenüQR offers a free web and Windows option capped at one restaurant, one menu, 50 items and one language. Tabemi is another freemium option with a free trial and web platform. AviQR has a free web Starter plan capped at 20 menu items, 50 orders per day and one QR code. Digmenu offers a free plan with feature and usage limits and possible advertising. Dmeals is a freemium web and API option whose free Starter plan allows one restaurant and up to 30 dishes, with no custom branding, analytics or offers. Rioxly is a freemium web alternative with a free plan for 10 menu items and 10 one-time AI content credits.

Verdict

EatPe is a strong fit for Indian restaurants and food businesses that want billing, app-free WhatsApp QR ordering and kitchen or delivery tools under one vendor. Its local operating focus and breadth are the case for choosing it; the segmented plans and caps are the reason to look elsewhere if your workflow needs a simpler package or features that do not line up with one tier.
