Overview

Cohorta brings learning and member engagement into one branded platform. Courses can combine modules, video and written lessons, quizzes, assignments, learner notes, comments and progress tracking. That makes it a better fit for programs that need interaction and follow-through than for sellers who only want to deliver a simple download.

Cohort programs add schedules, live sessions, assignments and mentors. For individual support, 1:1 mentoring includes slot booking, a calendar and automated reminders. Ebooks and downloads can be delivered as PDF, EPUB, audio, video or ZIP bundles, with optional buyer-name watermarks and per-user download limits.

Key features

Community and payments

Community spaces include topical areas, a post feed, comments, reactions, read/unread tracking and real-time direct messages. This gives organizations a way to keep discussion alongside learning, rather than separating community from the program. Stripe checkout supports European payment methods, and certificates can be publicly verified.

Integrations and security

Starter lists Fakturownia.pl integration and per-product GA4 and GTM; Scale adds API and webhooks. The privacy policy describes TLS encryption in transit, database Row-Level Security, authenticated server actions with restricted access, and content sanitization. It names Supabase, Vercel, Stripe and Resend as processors, and says analytics cookies load only after consent.

Pricing

The Free plan costs 0.00 PLN per free, billed 0 zł, and charges a 10% commission on sales. Its one-product, 50-learner cap and 500 email messages per month suit a small trial offering, not a growing catalog. Starter costs 299.00 PLN per month, billed 299 zł /mc, and cuts the commission to 5%; it removes the product limit and raises capacity to 1,000 learners, with four landing page templates.

Growth costs 649.00 PLN per month, billed 649 zł /mc. It includes unlimited learners, ten landing page templates, priority email support and a 3% sales commission, making it the step up for larger audiences. Scale costs 1299.00 PLN per month, billed 1299 zł /mc, and removes the commission. It adds 20 landing page templates, a custom domain, API and webhooks, SLA and priority chat support.

Enterprise costs 2999.00 PLN per month, billed Od 2999 zł/mc (od €690/mc), with a custom agreement and 0% commission. Multiple trainers, advanced roles and permissions, SLA, dedicated onboarding, custom integrations, BAA, SSO and audit log make it the tier for organizations with more involved access and integration needs. Its higher entry price is difficult to justify for a small operation.

Platforms

Cohorta is available on web and through an API.

Who it's for

The strongest fit is experts and consultants, training companies, community and networking groups, and associations, foundations or other member groups that want courses, mentoring and community in the same branded environment. A seller with one product and a small audience can start free, but the commission and caps make Starter a more practical choice once the offer grows. Organizations that do not need mentoring, cohorts or community may be paying for breadth they will not use.

Pros and cons

Pros: Courses, cohort schedules, mentoring, downloads and community share one platform, supporting programs that mix content with live and peer activity.
Pros: Download formats, optional buyer-name watermarking and per-user limits give sellers useful controls over digital products.
Pros: The commission falls from 10% on Free to 0% on Scale, with API and webhooks also arriving at that tier.
Cons: Free is capped at one product and 50 learners, and its 10% sales commission can be costly as sales grow.
Cons: Useful scaling features are tiered: unlimited learners start at Growth, while API and webhooks and a custom domain require Scale.
Cons: Enterprise starts at 2999.00 PLN per month, putting its advanced controls and onboarding beyond the needs of many smaller providers.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, see Cohort-Based Course Platforms. Choose UjuziPlus if Android and iOS apps or self-hosting matter, or if its free Creator plan's 100-learner allowance is a better match. Nialtus is worth considering when a free allowance of five courses, ten active learners and 1 GB storage suits a smaller course operation.

Sublime LMS offers a free sandbox for 50 active learners and two published courses, plus a free trial, making it an option for a small test deployment. NovoEd is another paid platform to consider. Learnify is another freemium option. Pathwright has a free trial and a Starter plan for up to 1,000 members at 99.00 USD per month, or 89 USD per month when billed annually; it may suit teams comparing a lower entry price and a defined cohort allowance. Academy Launcher is another paid option with a free trial. Disco is a paid alternative whose Organization plan includes up to 500 members and a branded academy on a custom domain.

Verdict

Choose Cohorta if your organization needs courses, scheduled cohorts, mentoring and community under one brand, and can match its plan to audience size and sales volume. Its central advantage is bringing those workflows together; look elsewhere if you need only straightforward course delivery or want to avoid monthly costs and commissions while starting small.
