Overview

CallHub is a campaign and digital organizing platform for teams that communicate with supporters, constituents, or other contacts by phone, text, and email. Its toolkit spans phone banking, voice broadcasts, peer-to-peer and mass texting, text-to-join, relational organizing, and workflow automation. CallHub is made by Gaglers Inc., which lists a Washington, DC address; the company story traces its original chat tool to creator Augustus Franklin in 2011.

The product brings outreach channels, dialing tools, integrations, and data workflows together. It is available through Android and iOS apps as well as a web product compatible with Windows and Mac. CallHub says its cloud infrastructure uses AWS and describes its security and compliance practices across several standards.

Key features

Calling and phone banking

CallHub offers power, auto, predictive, and preview dialing. Phone banking teams can use branching scripts, take inbound calls, and patch calls through. The platform also lists local presence, voicemail drop, call recording, and AI-powered Smart Insights among its calling tools. These options suit organizations planning structured outreach where a team may need both outbound dialing and ways to route or respond to incoming calls.

Text, voice, email, and workflows

Outreach options include voice broadcasts, text broadcasts, text-to-join, email outreach, peer-to-peer texting, and relational organizing. Peer-to-peer texting can send an initial message automatically, use shortened links with tracking, filter profanity, run custom surveys, and integrate data. Workflows provide another way to coordinate campaign activity beyond individual calls or messages.

Integrations and API

Listed integrations include NationBuilder, Blackbaud, NGP VAN, Action Network, CiviCRM, Salesforce, Freshsales, Zapier, and OSDI. CallHub says its API can support custom two-way data flows between the platform and another app, offering a route for teams whose data exchange needs extend beyond the listed integrations.

Security and support

CallHub states that it is SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001, and HIPAA compliant. It says web session traffic uses HTTPS and TLS and that sensitive data is encrypted in transit. Essential includes live chat support; Scale adds priority support and an optional assigned Customer Success Manager.

Pricing

CallHub lists a free plan and a free trial. Essential is listed at 0.05 USD per month, billed at standard rates, with free credits provided to get started. It allows up to 10,000 contacts, 10 agents, five team members, one sub-account, three workflows, and three segments. Scale has no listed price and provides unlimited contacts, agents, team members, sub-accounts, workflows, and segments. The general pricing note says “From $0.04,” while the listed Essential plan specifies 0.05 USD per month; prospective buyers should distinguish these figures when comparing costs.

Platforms

CallHub lists Android, iOS, macOS, web, Windows, and API support. Its mobile apps support iPhones running iOS 12 or later and Android 10 or later. The web product is compatible with Windows and Mac and works in popular browsers; Chrome is recommended for browser calling.

Who it's for

CallHub is aimed at campaign and organizing teams that need coordinated phone, text, and email outreach, including groups using phone banking or peer-to-peer messaging. Its integrations and API may also suit organizations that need campaign activity to connect with CRM or organizing data. The Essential limits offer a defined scale for smaller teams, while Scale is the listed option for organizations needing unlimited contacts and agents.

Pros and cons

Pros: Multiple outreach channels, four dialing modes, inbound and patch-through calling, and texting tools are brought into one platform.
Pros: Listed CRM and organizing integrations, plus an API for custom two-way data flows, support connections to other systems.
Pros: Android and iOS apps complement browser-based access, and the service lists both a free plan and free trial.
Cons: Scale pricing is not listed, and the general “From $0.04” note differs from Essential's listed 0.05 USD per month.
Cons: Essential caps contacts, agents, team members, sub-accounts, workflows, and segments.

Alternatives

For other approaches to organizing and outreach, consider Impactive, TextNow, Hustle, Rally Corp Peer-to-Peer Texting, text+, Empower App, Political Comms, and Txtra. Category lists for Peer-to-Peer Texting Software, Voice Broadcasting Software, Nonprofit Text Messaging Software, SMS Marketing Software, Predictive Dialer Software, and Nonprofit Marketing Software provide further options within those categories.

Verdict

CallHub is a broad outreach and organizing platform with substantial phone banking tools alongside texting, voice broadcasts, email, integrations, and workflows. Its range may be useful to teams that want several campaign channels connected to contact data and dialing operations. The main pricing qualification is that Scale has no listed price, while Essential has defined user and workflow limits; teams should weigh those constraints against their contact volume and support needs.
