Overview

Inflo is a digital audit platform for accounting firms that want to bring engagement work into one system. It suits firms seeking a connected audit workflow; its modular, engagement-based licensing makes the right configuration worth clarifying before committing.

Its scope spans audit documentation, analytics, client collaboration, and quality management. Firms can use those components across the audit lifecycle, while smaller practices and global enterprises are both within Inflo’s intended audience.

Key features

Working Papers: Combines engagement management and audit documentation with digital methodology and content management. Workpaper templates, evidence collection, review workflows, and audit reporting support a structured engagement process.
Audit Data Analytics: Supports risk assessment and audit testing, with data extraction described as compatible with any client system. That reach can help firms work with varied client environments.
Digital Collaboration: Centralizes client communications, requests, and documents, with real-time status tracking. This gives teams a shared view of outstanding engagement work.
Quality Management: Built-in frameworks, automated workflows, and real-time monitoring address audit quality processes beyond individual engagement files.
Microsoft document links: InfloLink is an Excel and Word add-in connecting engagement and trial-balance information to documents. Single Sign-On and API integrations are also supported.
Security and AI: Inflo says its Azure-hosted service encrypts data in transit and at rest using 256-bit encryption. It cites ISO/IEC 27001:2022 accreditation and a SOC 2 Type II audit report; unique logins, optional two-factor or multi-factor authentication, and lead-user engagement controls support access management. Its AI is assistive, with auditors retaining responsibility for evaluating evidence and reaching conclusions.

Pricing

Inflo Digital Audit: custom pricing. A free plan is offered, but licensing for the named plan varies according to modules used per engagement, with fees depending on clients or engagements. Firms should establish which modules and engagement volume their quote covers before comparing costs.

Workpaper templates, evidence collection, review workflows, and audit reporting are included among the platform capabilities. Since licensing depends on module use and engagement volume, firms should confirm how those capabilities map to their proposed configuration. No seat allowance or trial term is stated.

Platforms

Inflo is available on the web and through an API. Its Microsoft Excel and Word add-in links engagement and trial-balance information to documents.

Who it's for

Inflo is aimed at accounting and audit firms, from small practices to global enterprises. It is a stronger fit for firms wanting documentation, analytics, client requests, and quality processes under a connected platform than for buyers seeking a clearly priced, fixed-scope package.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad audit coverage: Documentation, analytics, collaboration, and quality management address multiple stages of audit work in one platform.
Engagement controls and visibility: Real-time collaboration status and lead-user access controls help coordinate client work and engagement access.
Security measures: Azure hosting, encryption, optional multifactor authentication, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 accreditation, and a SOC 2 Type II report provide concrete security measures.

Cons

Cost is configuration-dependent: Module and engagement-based licensing makes budgeting and comparisons harder without a tailored quote.
Web-first access: The stated platforms are web and API, so firms needing a listed native mobile or desktop app should consider alternatives.

Verdict

Choose Inflo if your accounting or audit firm wants a connected platform for engagement documentation, analytics, client collaboration, and quality management, backed by defined access controls and security measures.
