Pick Aster Mail if…
Aster Mail may suit people seeking an open-source email service with encrypted mail between Aster accounts and desktop mail app access. It also has import options for users moving from named providers or other IMAP services.
Pick Neir if…
Neir may suit people seeking email across web, desktop, and standard mail clients, including users who value OpenPGP encryption for webmail copies. It is less suitable for those who require Neir to provide end-to-end encryption for ordinary email or need to send externally on the free plan.
