Overview

Amply links gift eligibility checks, donor guidance, and nonprofit-side tracking. Donors can begin a match on the donation form or return to the process from their receipt, giving them more than one point to act on after donating.

Its database covers over 4,000 matching programs and is updated with new companies weekly. Checks account for criteria such as minimum donation amounts and nonprofit classifications, helping teams identify potential matches without treating every gift as eligible. Amply serves nonprofits of all sizes and can also manage specific campaigns or fundraisers without a formal matching program.

Key features

Donor steps and follow-up

Donors can complete auto-filled electronic forms with e-signature or submit a request through their employer’s portal. Amply’s customer service team can follow up with donors and companies, while automated donor outreach is by email. This support can keep a match moving, but it does not eliminate the donor’s role: when an employer requires portal submission, the donor must personally record the gift there.

Tracking and integrations

The nonprofit portal brings together match statuses, analytics, revenue and activity reports, and matching trends. That gives fundraising teams a way to monitor progress as well as results. Amply integrates with fundraising platforms including Classy, OneCause, Maguire, and MobileCause, and also partners with CRMs, cause-marketing platforms, and rewards programs. APIs and webhooks, with partner activations, documentation, and sample code as part of setup, provide a route for custom integrations.

Security and privacy

Amply says it does not store payment information, hosts its servers privately, and encrypts all data. Its privacy policy says personal information is not sold or rented and donor data is retained for three years after the donor’s last gift. Nonprofits should weigh that retention period against their own data practices.

Pricing

Amply uses a freemium model. The Freemium plan costs 0.00 USD per free, with feature limits and no flat fees. It is the low-commitment option, but those limits may constrain teams that need the full workflow.

Standard costs 5.00 USD per contact and includes everything. Its per-contact pricing makes the cost depend on the contact count, so nonprofits should consider that when comparing it with a flat-fee service.

Custom has custom pricing and is typically for nonprofits with donation volume of $5M+. It is the option for larger organizations seeking a tailored package; smaller teams can start with Freemium or consider Standard.

Platforms

Amply is available via web and API. Its official pages describe a donation-page service, nonprofit portal, integrations, and APIs; it is not presented as a downloadable app for a particular operating system.

Who it's for

Amply is a strong fit for nonprofits that want eligibility lookup, email follow-up, submission tracking, and match-revenue reporting connected to fundraising. Its support for custom integrations and campaigns without a formal matching program broadens its use beyond organizations with a standard employer-match setup. It is less suitable for teams expecting a service to complete every employer submission without donor action.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad program coverage: A database spanning over 4,000 programs, updated weekly, supports eligibility checks across many employers.
Connected workflow: Donor entry points, follow-up, status tracking, and revenue reporting sit within one nonprofit-focused service.
Integration options: Named fundraising-platform integrations plus APIs and webhooks give teams multiple ways to connect Amply to their systems.
No-flat-fee starting tier: Freemium costs 0.00 USD per free and has no flat fees, though it is feature limited.

Cons

Donors still have a required task: Employer-portal requests must be recorded by the donor, so Amply cannot make every match fully hands-off.
Standard is contact-priced: At 5.00 USD per contact, cost depends on the number of contacts rather than a single flat subscription.
Free plan is limited: Feature limits may make Freemium insufficient for organizations needing the complete workflow.
Three-year donor-data retention: Retention after a donor’s last gift may not suit every nonprofit’s data policy.

Alternatives

For a broader fundraising suite with donation forms, fundraising pages, events, auctions, donor management, and CRM, consider Givebutter; its free plan also has a free trial and runs on Android, iOS, and web. Choose Amply when matching-gift eligibility and submission tracking are the priority.

BetterWorld is worth comparing if you want a web-based option with a free plan at 0% platform fee or a Flex plan with a 2.2–5% platform fee; standard payment processing fees apply to both. Amply is more specifically focused on matching-gift workflows.

GoFundMe Pro may suit nonprofits with annual revenue under $1 million seeking zero subscription fees, no setup costs, and access to a core product suite. Choose Amply when the need is employer-match eligibility and follow-through.

Whitelabel is an alternative for unlimited campaigns and donors without monthly fees, setup fees, or contracts, with per-gift charges and card and bank costs passed through at cost. Amply is the more directly matching-gift-focused choice.

GivingFuel may appeal to organizations comparing stated monthly plans: Starter is 9.00 USD per month for annual online giving under $100,000, with a 2% platform fee and one admin account; All-In is 59.00 USD per month for annual online giving under $1M, with a 1% platform fee. Amply is better aligned to matching-gift administration.

DonorOS is another web-based nonprofit option to consider.

GiveCampus GC Outreach is a paid alternative with plans centered on email and texting volumes. Consider it when outreach volume is the main requirement rather than matching-gift workflow.

FrontStream Matching Gifts is a paid web and API option that combines donation matching with in-kind donation management, employee giving campaigns, volunteer-hour tracking, and Gusto integration. It may suit organizations seeking that broader workplace-giving scope.

Verdict

Choose Amply if your nonprofit wants to connect employer-match eligibility, donor follow-up, and reporting to its fundraising workflow, especially when its integrations fit your systems. Look elsewhere if your priority is eliminating donor portal work altogether or if a contact-based Standard price is a poor fit for your organization.
