Yapkin
Yapkin is an AI language tutor for practicing spoken conversations and receiving help when stuck.
What Yapkin is
Yapkin is an AI language tutor for practicing spoken conversations and receiving help when stuck. Its Journey section introduces words and phrases, then places them in everyday situations. Learn provides vocabulary, speaking, grammar, and listening exercises, while Practice brings saved words and past mistakes together for review. Courses cover Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, and Italian with English explanations and support. Complete beginners can start with guided lessons before moving toward conversations. Yapkin offers speech practice, personalized review, and Android and iOS apps. AI conversations and account synchronization require an internet connection; some lesson audio may be cached, but the course is not designed to work fully offline. OpenAI processes speech and live AI conversations, Groq processes conversation translations, and Google AI can process lesson evaluation and feedback. Savuko says it does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The annual plan costs $57.99 a year with a 3-day trial for eligible subscribers. The monthly plan costs $19.99 a month and has no free trial. Yapkin is a learning aid, not certified instruction or an official proficiency assessment.
