WrapAPI
WrapAPI builds APIs on top of existing websites through a visual workflow.
What WrapAPI is
WrapAPI builds APIs on top of existing websites through a visual workflow. Its Chrome extension records browser actions and page loads, filters server requests, and turns selected requests into templates. The Builder extracts data from HTML, JSON, and XML responses, including multiple layouts and error cases. Changing URL or request-body sections can become parameters, while outputs come from selected elements or regular expressions. Users can configure URLs, query strings, POST data, and file uploads, then call published endpoints with ordinary HTTP requests. Supported methods include GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, HEAD, OPTIONS, PATCH, and TRACE. WrapAPI offers API, extension, self-hosted, and web access, reusable workflows, and self-hosted deployment. Its Proxy records Android, webview, and desktop-app requests for replay and debugging. The Community plan costs nothing and includes 30,000 monthly calls, but public APIs must be shared.
