What TypeDojo is

TypeDojo is a free web platform for typing practice, with guided lessons, tests, and games for children, students, adults, and teachers. Lessons move from basic key practice to advanced drills for beginner, intermediate, and advanced typists. Challenges report speed, accuracy, beats per minute, and other performance measures. English tests are offered in one-, three-, and five-minute formats, and the site says a free certificate follows a completed speed test. Users can begin without registering. An optional profile saves progress, scores, and charts and supports goals and avatar customization. Teachers can track student progress, report on it, and grade activities in real time. Kids’ lessons use guided finger placement, color-coded feedback, and short activities, described as suitable for children as young as four. TypeDojo was founded in 2016. Its privacy policy says registered account details, lesson progress, and scores are collected; anonymous use relies on a session cookie erased when leaving. Google advertising services use browser cookies, and under-13 registration requires teacher, parent, or guardian permission.
