Steinberg MixKey
Steinberg MixKey is a free audio mixer for streamers and creators on Windows and macOS.
What Steinberg MixKey is
Steinberg MixKey is a free audio mixer for streamers and creators on Windows and macOS. Its Auto Gain feature adjusts audio levels automatically, and stream-level monitoring lets users hear the mix at the level their audience hears. A cue function previews a channel in headphones before it reaches the fader or mix. The built-in low-cut filter reduces unwanted low frequencies in speech. MixKey can record the full mix as a WAV file and route a separate microphone output to apps such as Discord or Zoom. Panic controls can mute the microphone or cut all output audio instantly. Elgato Stream Deck can trigger essential functions, including mic mute and panic controls. Users can customize channel names, colors and appearance, and resize the interface. Steinberg lists MixKey as a free download for Mac and Windows, and says it was founded in 1984.
