Solo Enterprise for Istio is a paid, self-hosted mesh offering for platform teams running microservices and MCP workloads across clusters and clouds. It extends Ambient Mesh with one control plane. Multicluster networking supports gateway-routed mTLS peering across VPCs and clouds, plus direct pod-to-pod networking within a VPC. Global service discovery gives services a shared DNS name and routes requests to the nearest healthy instance across clusters. Node-based Layer 7 observability exposes HTTP methods, paths, response codes, and traces without per-service sidecars or waypoints. Segments create logical mesh boundaries with independent domains and can span clusters. The mesh can extend to Amazon ECS, virtual machines, and AWS Lambda. SPIRE integration provides workload attestation and SPIFFE certificates for mTLS identity. Agent Mesh uses agentgateway with MCP and A2A awareness and context-aware authorization. Support lists daily CVE scans, N-4 long-term support, FIPS-certified builds, ticket support, and optional enhanced SLAs. Pricing is available from Solo on request and depends on environment and use case.
