Slugline 2 for Mac creates paper and PDF screenplays with industry-standard formatting and pagination. The Mac version includes Dark Mode, a drag-and-drop Outline Navigator, and a Timeline for viewing structure and pacing. Live Compare checks the current screenplay against another document and marks changed text with asterisks. Slugline opens and exports Final Draft files, including dual dialogue and notes, and supports Fountain, Final Draft FDX, and PDF exports. iPhone and iPad versions can write, edit, print, and create PDFs independently. Mac and mobile editions can share files through iCloud or Dropbox. The software intentionally omits controls for screenplay margins and most formatting settings. A free plan is available. Mac pricing is $49.99, paid once, or $49.99 a month for unlimited writing.
