What Renshuu is

Renshuu is a Japanese learning service covering vocabulary, kanji, grammar, and sentence study. It adapts how Japanese is displayed to a learner’s knowledge, including individual kanji, and uses question styles such as multiple choice, typing, and writing input. Learners can follow curated lesson packs, choose from thousands of staff- and user-created lessons, or study independently. Learning paths cover most textbooks, the JLPT, and Kanji Kentei. Vocabulary materials include over 15,000 native-recorded audio files, 17,000 selected images, and 160,000 example sentences. Grammar study includes more than 800 expressions and over 7,500 hand-made quiz questions. A Discord community provides Japanese-learning events and an account-linking bot. Renshuu runs on Android, iOS, macOS, and the web, with mobile apps but no offline lessons. The free plan includes learning paths, vocabulary, kanji, grammar, sentences, games, and review. Sign-up is available by email or Google. Michael is identified as creator and administrator, and the two-person company answers questions directly.
