What Podfan is
Podfan helps podcast creators monetize public or private podcast content through memberships and donations. It provides a free podcast website with customizable colors, featured episodes, subscribe links, host profiles, social links, updates, and episode discussions. For paid content, Podfan hosts private member-only feeds with unlimited downloads and gives each subscriber a unique feed URL. Creators can offer monthly or annual memberships, recurring or one-time donations, gift memberships, and optional seven-day free trials. Podfan uses Stripe, and member payments go directly to the creator’s connected Stripe account. Podfan charges $0.30 per active member per month; Stripe charges 1.4% plus $0.30 per transaction. Annual memberships incur an additional 5% Podfan fee on each subscription payment. One-click private-feed subscription works with listed apps including Apple Podcasts, Breaker, Castbox, Castro, Downcast, Overcast, Pocket Casts, Player.fm, Podcast Addict, Podcast Republic, and Podhero. Acast, Spotify, Google Podcasts, and Podbean do not support these private feeds. The Free plan is free. Essential costs $12 a month plus $0.30 per member, and Premium costs $19 a month plus $0.30 per member.
