PayPal Payouts lets businesses send money to many recipients in one operation.
What PayPal Payouts is
PayPal Payouts lets businesses send money to many recipients in one operation. It is intended for commissions, rebates, rewards, incentives and recurring payments. Recipients can be identified by email address, phone number or PayPal ID. Businesses can submit payouts through Payouts Web, the Payouts API or an SFTP file upload. PayPal’s UK product page states support in over 156 countries and over 20 currencies, with 23 supported currencies listed. For GBP, USD, CAD, AUD, EUR and MXN payouts, balances are automatically converted and currency conversion fees apply. Recipients without PayPal accounts receive a notification and claim link. Use requires a PayPal Business account in good standing and approval of an access request. There is no total payout limit, but individual payments are capped at £50,000 for existing PayPal account holders and £17,000 for new account holders. The Web/file-upload plan costs $2 per payout, capped at 14.00 USD for domestic payouts or 90.00 USD for international payouts. PayPal cites encryption, TLS-secured connections and 24/7 fraud monitoring. Payroll, sales, one-off payments and transfers to family or friends are prohibited.
