Osclass is a self-hosted classifieds and directory platform for people building marketplaces, job boards or niche listing sites on their own web hosting. The core combines listings, nested categories, custom fields, comments, media uploads, user accounts, moderation, locations and currencies in an administration backoffice. Listing approval and seller messaging support practical marketplace workflows. Themes and plugins can use hooks, filters, child themes, custom CSS and JavaScript, and theme routes, so operators can tailor a site without modifying core files. That flexibility is useful for niche directories, but it also means the core does not arrive as a finished, branded marketplace.

Search and internationalization

Canonical URLs, hreflang, relevance sorting, RSS controls and configurable search URL rules—up to 26 patterns—give operators meaningful control over search and indexing. Staging noindex settings help keep development sites out of search results. Built-in .po/.mo translation support, multiple active languages, RTL where the selected theme supports it, utf8mb4 emoji and locale currencies make international sites possible, though language packs and geolocation SQL data must be added separately.

Payments and integrations

Paid Osclass Pay adds featured listings, publishing fees, wallets, memberships and connectors including Stripe, PayPal, bank transfer and regional gateways. Those are important revenue tools, but they are not part of the free core. Free extensions connect Cloudflare Turnstile and analytics services including GA4, Yandex, HotJar and Piwik, with custom head and footer snippets also supported.
