What Odyssey Map is

Odyssey Map is a free, open-source minimap and fullscreen map mod for Minecraft. The minimap can use a circular or square shape and rotate with North-Up or Heading-Up orientation. Players can create custom waypoints, while the mod records death locations and tracks a bed and spawn point. Settings cover HUD position, size, transparency, marker visibility, zoom, map shape, and terrain colors. Odyssey Map is client-side, so multiplayer servers do not need to install it. The listing names Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge, with support described for singleplayer, multiplayer, dedicated servers, and large modpacks. Shader support is included. The maker describes the mod as lightweight, using terrain-data caching to keep performance impact low. Cave maps are not currently supported.
