What Kwikset UNITE is
Kwikset UNITE is a cloud-based electronic access control platform for multifamily properties, combining unit-entry locks with web and mobile software and card and fob credentials. Property managers can manage buildings, floors, door openings, users, credentials, permissions, and schedules through a desktop dashboard or mobile app. They can also invite, schedule, and track temporary access for guests and service providers. Residents use the mobile app to access their homes, and the platform supports self-guided property tours. Its activity log records access events and lock alerts, including which openings were accessed and when. Locks can operate offline and use Bluetooth Low Energy and multifrequency RFID; physical credentials can provide access without a mobile device. Kwikset says the credentials use MIFARE DESFire EV3 with onboard 125 kHz Prox functionality, and mobile credentials use a proprietary secure channel over Bluetooth Low Energy. ButterflyMX integration supports unlocking through its app and access administration through its Operating System. Pricing is available by request, and 250 user invitations are included by default.
