Overview

Forge brings asset data together for real-time enterprise insights, pairing AI-enabled analysis with operational constraints. That combination is aimed at decisions grounded in the realities of industrial processes, rather than automation in isolation. Its breadth across industrial operations, connected buildings, life sciences, supply chain and OT cybersecurity is useful for organizations with varied operational needs, but also means customers should identify the specific applications they need before evaluating the portfolio.

Honeywell says Forge was founded in 2019. Its products cover both cloud-based and on-premise analytics, and some Forge cloud products run on Azure, AWS or Salesforce Cloud. Security measures include SOC 2 Type II for Forge Performance+ and several named Forge products, as well as a security operations center with a defined incident-response policy and a product security incident response team that handles vulnerability reports.

Key features

Process and field operations

Advanced Process Control coordinates planning, control and blending in real time, with cloud-based or on-premise analytics. That deployment choice can accommodate different operating environments; term-based licensing and feature choices, however, make the specific package important to confirm before purchase.

Inspection Rounds handles operator-round configuration, scheduling, monitoring, issue review and compliance reporting. Offline data capture with later synchronization is a meaningful advantage for field teams working through connectivity gaps. Integrations include SAP, historians, SQL servers, Honeywell DynAMo Logbook and Excel, while the operator application supports major operating systems and Honeywell wearables.

Building data and security operations

The Forge API Marketplace offers bidirectional access to building data and connects contexts such as building management systems, IoT sensors, computer-aided facilities management platforms, digital twins and enterprise applications. APIs are an add-on to existing Forge applications, rather than a standalone entry point; developer tools include API keys, a sandbox, documentation and testing.

Forge's capabilities also include real-time stream processing, anomaly detection and machine-learning tools. For OT security and compliance workflows, the portfolio includes passive monitoring, OT asset discovery and SIEM integration, along with alerts by SMS, voice call, email, desktop and mobile, and two-way messaging. Document control, audit management, corrective actions, nonconformance tracking, compliance records and approval workflows address governance needs. These capabilities may make Forge relevant across operational and compliance teams, but customers should check which products provide the functions they require.

Pricing

Honeywell Forge products: custom pricing. Product-specific offerings vary; Advanced Process Control has term-based licensing and feature choices. Contact Honeywell to establish the price and package that fit the deployment.

With no free plan or published entry price, Forge is best considered by organizations evaluating a defined operational use case and prepared to request a demo or sales discussion. The support link is intended for customers with existing solutions; prospective buyers can request a demo.

Platforms

Forge is listed for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, Windows, web and API access. Its mix of operator applications, enterprise access and building-data APIs suits deployments spanning field devices and business systems, though individual application availability should be confirmed.

Who it's for

Forge is best suited to complex industrial environments and regulated industries that need connected operational data, process optimization, field rounds, building integrations or OT cybersecurity capabilities. Organizations focused on one narrow function, or those that need a simple self-serve purchase with a public price, should compare more specialized options.

Pros and cons

Pros: Broad operational scope connects industrial, building, field and security use cases within one portfolio.
Pros: Inspection Rounds works offline and synchronizes captured data when connectivity returns, supporting field work in unreliable network conditions.
Pros: Advanced Process Control can use cloud or on-premise analytics, giving buyers a choice of deployment model.
Pros: Building APIs include a sandbox and developer tools, while providing bidirectional access to building data.
Cons: Custom pricing and product-specific licensing make budgeting and package comparison harder before engaging Honeywell.
Cons: APIs are an add-on to existing Forge applications, so they do not offer an independent starting point for organizations seeking only building-data access.
Cons: The breadth of the portfolio makes it important to verify which applications include the desired operational, security and compliance capabilities.

Alternatives

For OT security buyers, Nozomi Networks Platform is worth considering if a free plan matters: Nozomi Vantage SaaS is listed at 0.00 USD per free and is described as used to license hardware and Guardian nodes. Tenable One Attack Surface Management is another paid option, with no free plan and pricing by demo or quote.

Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity Platform is a paid option for enterprise OT/IoT environments, with sales contact for pricing. Radiflow iSID is also paid, with pricing unpublished and a demo or sales contact offered. Claroty CTD may suit buyers prioritizing federal OT cybersecurity controls, on-premises deployment and mobile flyaway kits. Claroty xDome is a modular SaaS alternative priced by sales inquiry. Dragos Platform is a paid option with pricing unpublished and a platform demo offered. NetPol is another paid option without a free plan.

Verdict

Choose Honeywell Forge if your organization needs a connected portfolio for industrial operations, field workflows, building data or regulated processes, and values deployment flexibility alongside operational analytics. Its main strength is the range of connected capabilities; its main drawback is that custom, product-specific pricing requires a sales conversation before buyers can judge the cost and exact fit.
