Google Fit
Google Fit is a free activity and wellness app for Android and iOS.
What Google Fit is
Google Fit is a free activity and wellness app for Android and iOS. It uses Heart Points and step goals to help track activity, and provides real-time statistics for runs, walks, and bike rides from Android phone sensors or Wear OS watch heart-rate sensors. Android phones and Wear OS smartwatches can automatically detect walking, running, and biking and add those activities to the Fit journal. Users can select activities such as pilates, rowing, and spinning, while selected devices can use the phone camera to measure heart rate and respiratory rate. Fit connects with Lifesum, Wear OS by Google, Nike+, Runkeeper, Strava, MyFitnessPal, Basis, Sleep as Android, Withings, and Xiaomi Mi bands. With permission, connected apps may share activity, location, nutrition and hydration, body sensor, and sleep information. Users can review requested data, control sharing, revoke access, or disconnect apps. Google says data is stored on its servers and backed up with the Google Account. The Play listing says no third-party sharing, encrypted transit, and deletion requests.
