What Drumazon 2 is

Drumazon 2 is a drum instrument plug-in that emulates the sounds of the original 909 drum machine. It runs on macOS and Windows inside a compatible host application, rather than as a standalone program. Its step sequencer includes tap recording, randomization and hundreds of factory patterns. Per-step flam and editable substep variants add options for shaping rhythms. Patterns can be exported as MIDI by dragging and dropping, and the instrument can be triggered with MIDI notes, MIDI CC or its GUI. Each drum sound has a channel strip with filtering, two-band parametric EQ, compression and routing to either effect bus or the master bus. The two effect buses include bitcrusher, distortion, reverb, delay, chorus, dynamics, EQ and filtering. Master processing includes presets, a three-band compressor and a limiter with a soft-clip option. D16 says factory content includes over 1,000 presets and patterns. The plug-in costs €119.00 once. Windows formats are VST2, VST3 and AAX; Mac formats are VST2, VST3, AU and AAX. Minimum operating systems are Windows 7 or newer and Mac OS X 10.13 to macOS 26.
