What Drawabox is
Drawabox is a web-based course for learning core drawing fundamentals through structured lessons, exercises and homework. It is aimed at beginners and learners who want a guided path through foundational skills. The course focuses on controlling the arm to make marks, constructing forms that read as three-dimensional, and understanding space. These skills can apply to drawing subjects such as people, but the course does not specifically teach how to draw particular subjects. The maker recommends beginning with Lesson 0 and describes the method as regimented. Guided projects and progress tracking are listed. Community feedback is available but is not guaranteed; Patreon supporters can access guaranteed critiques from the creator and teaching assistants. Discord is offered for more real-time discussion and lesson questions. The maker asks learners to submit complete homework to the subreddit, while partial work can be shared in lesson channels on Discord. The Free lessons plan costs nothing. Account-related questions can be sent to [email protected].
