What Dev Tones is
Dev Tones is a web-based collection of interface and menu sounds for app projects. The library contains more than 630 professionally designed sounds for different events, supplied as WAV and AIF files. A web app provides previews, and the page includes free example sounds that may be used royalty-free with attribution. Version 1.2 added 100 Material Design-inspired sounds, including recordings of paper, cards, zippers, wine glasses, and xylophones. Paying license holders may use the tones royalty-free in commercial and non-commercial projects. The license does not allow resale or redistribution as sound effects or ringtones, and excludes sound-related apps, reusable sound libraries, point-and-click app builders, and templates or themes encouraging downstream distribution. RCP says there is no DRM and free updates are included. Custom sound design or music may be arranged by agreement.
