Cloudera Open Data Lakehouse is a paid lakehouse product combining open table formats, SQL analytics, streaming ingestion, governance catalog capabilities, and ACID transactions. It supports both storage models, giving organizations options for their data-storage approach. The Lakehouse Optimizer plan is listed at $0.05 a month, billed according to Cloudera Compute Unit pricing. It automates Iceberg table optimization, table maintenance, and other lakehouse automations; infrastructure and networking costs are additional. Cloudera Base on premises is an annual subscription with Business Support, with pricing available from sales. That plan includes Apache Iceberg tables, Iceberg maintenance and replication, SDX and an Iceberg catalog, plus HDFS, Ozone, or selected third-party storage. There is no free plan. The two listed offerings therefore differ in deployment and billing: one is compute-priced optimization, while the other is an on-premises subscription with a sales-based price.
