What btw is
btw is an open source personal website builder for writing and publishing online. Users can create a blog, keep notes and publish them when ready, and use a profile to present a bio. The maker says coding and design skills are not required, and describes the product for people who want to write online and connect with like-minded individuals. btw is available on the web, and its open source version can be self-hosted through the linked GitHub repository. The free Hobby plan costs nothing and includes unlimited notes published on a btw.so subdomain. Pro costs $99 a year, billed yearly, and lists a custom domain and priority feature requests. However, Pro is not open to the public yet; the site says to email to get set up. The site also lists an email contact and a Discord community link. btw is headquartered in Singapore, and its co-founders are Deepti Chopra and Sid.
