The $199, paid once plan includes a factory library, sample editing and mapping, built-in effects, and routing. Users can map samples and use round-robin playback. Battery 4 accepts many sample formats, including WAV, AIFF, Apple Loops, REX1, REX2, ACIDized WAV, GIG, EXS24, FXP, SF2, and NKI, plus MAP, TXT, INS, ZGR, GOG, SD2, AKAI, MPC, KORG, ROLAND, and YAMAHA formats. A granular engine is not included, and there is no free plan. Native Instruments was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Berlin, Germany.
