After days of teasing, POCO finally announced their latest premium offering the POCO F5 in the Indian market. The phone happens to be the first device in the country to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC and brings a new design language to the table. The POCO F5 will also be debuting in the global markets today alongside the POCO F5 Pro, which sadly won’t be launching in India.
POCO F5 specifications
The POCO F5 comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz PWM, 1000nits brightness, adaptive HDR, HDR10+, Dolby Vision support, and more. The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 SoC, which is paired with 8GB or 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Coming to the optics, the POCO F5 comes with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies and video calls, the phone relies on a front-facing 16MP camera. Other features on the phone include stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, an x-axis motor, IR Blaster, WiFi 6/6E, NFC, Android 13 with MIUI 14 out of the box with the promise of two future Android version updates, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
POCO F5 price & availability
The POCO F5 comes in Carbon Black, Sandstorm White, and Electric Blue color options. The handset is priced at INR 29,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model and the top end 12GB + 256GB model is priced at INR 33,999. The phone will be available from Flipkart starting from May 16th, 12 PM. Just like the POCO F4, the F5 will also come with two years of warranty out of the box. As part of the launch offers, POCO is offering INR 3,000 instant discount to ICICI Bank cardholders and an extra INR 1,000 in exchange for a POCO product.
