How To Prepare An AI Track For A SoundCloud Upload
- Check the current SoundCloud rules. Look specifically for AI disclosure, impersonation, copyright, samples and monetisation language.
- Confirm the generator licence. Check whether your plan permits publishing the resulting file on SoundCloud and whether free-plan downloads have restrictions.
- Remove unlicensed material. Do not use a celebrity voice, a copied melody, lyrics you do not control or samples without the required consent.

Songin.ai says its generated songs can include AI cover art suitable for uploads to Spotify, YouTube or SoundCloud, but that statement does not replace SoundCloud’s own rules. Its free-plan restriction and any paid-plan licence apply to the Songin.ai output, not automatically to third-party material you add.
Voices, Covers And Samples Need Extra Care
- AI voices: Use a voice only with the required consent. Spotify’s September 2025 policy says vocal impersonation is allowed only when the impersonated artist has authorised it, and it supports DDEX AI disclosures in credits. Spotify policy report
- Covers: An AI recreation of a famous performance can raise separate rights issues from an ordinary cover. Check the relevant permissions and SoundCloud’s current requirements.
- Samples: AI output does not clear a sample that you supplied or added. Keep proof of permission for every external recording.
What If You Also Post The Track Elsewhere?
Rules differ by platform. YouTube requires creators to disclose realistic altered or synthetic content that could be mistaken for a real person’s performance, and its inauthentic-content policy targets mass-produced, repetitive or template-based uploads rather than AI use by itself. You can create an AI track in a mobile browser, save the permitted audio file locally, and prepare it for SoundCloud.
