Make The First Jazzy Lo-Fi Draft
- Pick the starting workspace. On a Xiaomi phone, open Soundverse in its Android app or browser, or use Suno through Android. For browser piano-roll editing, open Beat Shaper. Choose InsMelo when genre, BPM, mood and structure controls matter most.
- Set the musical brief. Paste a prompt such as: “Jazzy lo-fi study beat, 76 BPM, swung drums with soft ghost notes, upright-bass line, Rhodes chords with minor sevenths and ninths, dusty cassette texture, sparse sax fills, instrumental, 32 bars.” If the tool exposes separate fields, put “jazzy lo-fi” in genre or style, 76 in BPM, and “instrumental” in the vocal setting.
- Generate several variations. Keep the same brief while changing one variable: 72, 76 or 82 BPM; straight versus swung drums; Rhodes versus piano; or sax versus muted trumpet. Save the version whose groove leaves space between the kick, bass and chord stabs.
- Correct the arrangement. Build an eight-bar intro, a 16-bar main section and a short turnaround. Reduce fills at the end of every bar, and make the B section change one element such as bass movement or chord voicing instead of adding many new sounds.
- Shape the lo-fi surface. Ask for less brightness or apply the editor’s available filtering and texture controls. Keep crackle and noise quiet enough that the snare, bass and chord extensions remain clear.
- Export parts for a final mix. Use MIDI when you want to replace the piano or drums, and stems when you want separate level and effect control.
